Malibu Pet Companions

Malibu Pet Companions (MPC) was founded in 1998 by an Agoura Animal Shelter volunteer who wanted to find a way to fund medical care for homeless shelter animals. MPC was formed as a 501c3 non-profit corporation, and the result has been thousands of animal lives saved over the last 10 years. Many of these animals would never have been given a second chance without MPC funding, and would have likely faced the fate of euthanasia. Fortunately for those homeless pets at the Agoura Animal Shelter, MPC can fund any kind of care needed from minor to major surgeries (including spay/neuter), even special food and prescription medicines.

MPC is a community-based, all volunteer organization. Volunteers foster animals in their homes, transport them to veterinary appointments, and oversee their care while at the shelter. Volunteers receive no compensation for their time and effort other than the gratitude of the homeless pets they care for.

Much of this work would not be possible without the support of two extraordinary groups: those local veterinarians who provide their services at discounted rates, and the members of the public who so generously donate their time and money.
