Great Vet!

I was in need a good vet because I am relocating and the regulations for flying a animal to HI are extremely strict and complicated.  I researched on yelp and this place was the closest, as I pulled in I realized that this place was exquisite, the facility is gorgeous, but even the beauty of this place doesn't compare to the staff inside. They were very warm and welcoming and not only did they take the time to answer all my questions but they also helped me research and pin point all the necessary steps I need to take to have her qualify.  Jennifer, the hospital manager spent a great amount of time going over all the details with me and helped ease my stress with this situation.  She was more than helpful and went above and beyond to ensure that my cat and I were taken care of. The  front desk crew was very friendly, welcoming and knowledgable.  They are solution oriented and quick problem solvers!  I am so grateful that I found this 5 Star Vet, I recommend it to everyone and won't go to anywhere else!!! Thanks again Westlake Village Animal Hospital, you are amazing!!!

Recommended to all our friends

"Dr. Slaton, we were very sad to have to put our cat "Storm" of 14 years down recently and really appreciated how caring and thoughtful you and your staff was during a hard time for us. You really care about the people and pets you work with and I have recommended you to all our friends with pets." Rick and Jan O'Bryant, Moorpark, California

Absolute Compassion

I want to thank you again for coming in late last night to see CookieBear. I realize I am probably a 'hard nut' when it comes to being impressed, and I have absolutely been floored at the care, professionalism and absolute compassion you and your staff have shown to TLC. Not to embarrass you, but I think you are the best around and wanted to forward you the TLC email to the volunteers this morning. I am known for saying what I mean and meaning what I say, so I am not simply 'shining your boots' here (as my husband, the retired LAPD cop would say). We have been burned numerous times recommending vets or services in the past, so I tend to not jump on the band wagon very quickly or recommend lightly. I truly respect you and so appreciate what you have done for our little munchkins despite how challenging they can be. Just think - you only see the worst of our rescues and never the best of them! We just passed the 300th dog mark of pulls under TLC - TLC was only birthed June of 2009 (although I have been doing rescue and foster for other groups almost 30 years now). Very fourth dog (or more) has been a hard case other rescues have left behind, so I am humbled and VERY proud of our volunteers and foster parents... it has greatly reduced my stress level to have finally found a vet I know believes in the same thing we do. Thank you from the bottom of my heart (and all of our little ones too!). Sincerely, Linda

Our heartfelt gratitude...

In the year since she was adopted, Teddy Lamarr has endured several medical problems. Today she was Dr. Slaton's entropian surgery. It is impossible to find words enough to thank Dr. Slaton who has cared for her since she was three months old. To Dr. Slaton and the entire staff of the Westlake Village Animal Hospital, our heartfelt gratitude for your professionalism and boundless compassion.

Buddy's Story

In September 2009 my husband Mike and I adopted Buddy from S.A.F.E. animal rescue. Buddy was perfectly healthy, but he had been at a shelter in the west valley too long, so they had called S.A.F.E. to see if they could rescue him. As soon as Buddy shoved his nose through the dog enclosure and licked my hand I knew that we were taking him home. Buddy turned out to be a great addition to our little family and he always managed to keep himself in just enough trouble to keep life interesting. As soon as I taught him to stop doing one bad thing he would come up with something else to amuse himself that Mike and I found a little questionable. Buddy was very active. We went for walks of over a mile almost every day and Buddy could just several feet in the air without a thought.
